25th June Sewing with stretch fabrics on a sewing machine or overlocker. Stretch fabrics require different techniques to woven. You will learn all you need to make successful stretch garments. Overcome your fears!
Saturday 2nd July Morning session 9am - 12 noon £20. First steps in dressmaking. This class includes how to choose the right size pattern…which is not the same as your dress size you buy. We will look at the right style for you, also the important information on the pattern and what you should know before you even start to sew.
Saturday 2nd July Afternoon session 12.30 - 3.30 £20. Common pattern adjustments for a perfect fit. We will be learning full bust adjustment which is a game changer alteration. I’ll also show you how to allow for a rounder tummy. How to add more ease to sleeves if you have a fuller upper arm or you work out at the gym.
Saturday 16th July Morning session 9am - 12noon £20. Demystifying sewing patterns. You will learn the secrets of the pattern envelope to ensure successful dressmaking. Together we will look at the symbols, what they mean and the ones we never should ignore. How to prepare and lay out a pattern.
Saturday 16th July Afternoon session 12.30 - 3.30 £20. Dressmaking techniques master class. Learn about interfacing, different types, why and when to use it. How to sew the perfect zip. How to sew an invisible zip. We will learn successful buttonholes and how to avoid the pitfalls and make sewing easier. Learn how to sew professional collars.
Saturday 6th August All day session 10am - 3pm £40. Sew along Shift dress, tunic or top. Now that you have learnt the basics; together we will look at making a simple dress. Shift style suits all body shapes and can be worn summer and winter just by changing the fabric or adding sleeves. Once you have mastered this pattern you can sew a new wardrobe. Class full

Saturday 10th September All day session 10am - 3pm £40. Basic overlocker class. In this class we demystify the ‘beast’. Learn all about threading , adjusting tensions and getting the stitch correct, differential feed and decorative finishes and much more. Two places left
